Rotor-Rig Marine Design
Racebox softwareÂ
Racebox is a race signals and finish timing program for sailing clubs. It uses a relay or a micro-controller via a USB cable to control the hooter sound system and uses either the traditional 10-5-Go sequence or the common 5-4-1-Go sequence. It can also control a light to give a visual aid to starting. It is easy to use, free and open source.
Rotor-Rig fittings
On the Fittings page is a directory and images of the Rotor-Rig custom hardware for dinghies. The STL files for most of the fittings can be downloaded free of charge via the links on the page, so you can 3D print your own!
Race course maps
Maps of racing marks at selected sailing clubs (all UK at present) are on the uMap web site. If you would like your sailing club added, get in touch.
Frensi - the friendly rig for your Laser/ILCA
The Frensi aims to make sailing cheaper and easier for people new to sailing. With a Frensi rig and a second-hand Laser, someone new to the sport can be on the water in a strong, easily repaired boat for not much money. The Laser design is a classic and despite being first made in the 1970s the boat is still stylish and great to sail. The Frensi rig allows sailors to raise and lower the sail when they need to, making launching much easier. The bright colours and easy-to-handle "Lateen" rig make sailing a Frensi fun and relaxing.
Frensi launch: RYA Dinghy Show 2025 (Feb 22-23) -- come and see us on stand 114.
